Before I produced my album cover, I researched on album covers that arefrom different types of artists as well as indie and pop artists. I looked for album covers that I personally liked below are the few that I found.
The effect that was used here in the above Olly Murs album cover that I personally liked is the overlapping of Olly Murs in different poses. The manipulation of all the images is very effective as each image of Olly in the different poses could suggest the different sides of Olly's personality.
These two album covers above are of artists that fit under the genre of indie pop rock; Paramore and Demi Lovato. The effect that I like from both these album covers is how the background of the album covers are full of words that are related to the album; either the name of the album or the artist. Both backgrounds look like they have been graffittied on, which adds to the effect of it being scruffy. Also, graffitti is seen as vandilism which could suggest the rebel aspect of these artists.
